So, I've decided to start a blog to give my adoring fans updates about my chemistry adventures, as well as show off some of my crochet projects. I made it to Iowa today and it didn't go exactly as planned, but I can't complain. I've got a bed, I've got a room, and I have my yarn! What more does a girl need?
When I arrived at the place I'm subleasing, there was already another sublessee here...in my room. His English is extremely limited, if not non-existent, and I tried to explain to him that he wasn't in the right room. It was futile, but I at least got the bed I was promised. I took the five minute tour of Ames and that was super exciting. I did find a grocery store and a Goodwill within a mile of my place, though. And you all know how much I love my Goodwill.
Next time, I will post pictures of my periodic table of elements granny square blanket. I've made 53/280 squares, so obviously I've got a ways to go.
